With age comes wisdom?

As we grew old we were expected to accumulate experience about life as well. Past experience comprises of good and bad old days. We learnt from these life lessons as we move forward to what's left remaining to live for.
The ugliest part is that when we never learnt but kept on moving forward leaving behind the trail of footstep taken during the course of time. Having said that, can we still proudly say that wisdom is in the air as we grew old?
