Well..first of all thanks to Rain and one CS Rep at Maxis Warisan Square for being kind enough to let me play with the BlackBerry 8820, a WiFi-enabled device minus the camera.
I must say this well-designed BB is something that felt nice with the thumbs probably because I'm very much into qwerty keyboard layout. Thumbing (read typing) on the keyboard seemed far better if not equivalent to Curve's qwerty keyboard. One thing that caught most of my attention during this short session was the browsing experience using WiFi. It's pretty fast. Running on OS 4.2.2.175 this device offers usual
Homescreen interface as in any other BBs. But since it is from Maxis, there's this Stock Live application preinstalled. I didn't bother to go into it haha. Probably one (crackberry) would argue if only it goes with a camera then this beast could go far in mass consumer choice as it did to Curve series. So that's why BB Bold is coming.
Nevertheless, it was an awesome half-hour session with the 8820 and my thanks to those superb CS Reps at Maxis Warisan Square ;)
