Button being young, naivé in his early age he has all the love to give especially to Daisy. When they got Caroline, Button became more matured and rational. He doesn't want to burden Daisy for she will eventually to take care of two beautiful people including button himself so he left. Not because he doesn't love them anymore but he thought that was the best thing to do at that moment. Time flies. Their unique love were tried and tested until the very day Button died young at an early 'age' of being a baby on the arms of his wife. Sad one.
